i like the nudge idea, but like NFP said, something the end user could see would be great. yeah, i know i'm chiming in more than a week later... sean, i'm sure you have a script ready. heh.

xanga wasn't really my nickname... just joking. i'll add more details to the nickname area - we had to expand the field first, since it was limited to 100 char.
as for non real time alerts, we're creating an optout for that in the official beta later this week. slowly but surely...

yeah, but if I nudge you I want to see something palpable. Can you arrange it so that when you get nudged your profile pic acquires a sparkle? The more nudges, the more sparkles?!
Or blinky-boxes. Start with a blinky strip without any blinkes. The more nudges you get the more and faster the blinkies blink. ha.
well, friending someone requires their approval... whereas nudging is one way.
according to John, "nudging" is less forward than "friending", so you might as well nudge me.

What do you make of this? A glorified invitation-only but public-readable Guestbook? Or is the hottest thing since something called an eProp caused a xangagod to scream "Eureka!" ?
